Plein Air Workshop
Step outside the studio and experience the beauty of painting outdoors in our Plein Air Oil Painting Workshop series! Whether you're new to outdoor painting or looking to expand your skills, this workshop offers a wonderful opportunity to learn, create, and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors with fellow artists and get advice and guidance from artist and Dordt professor, Chadd Caldwell. We welcome oil, acrylic and watercolor paints.

after-school art club
Join us After-School on Wednesdays at the Children's Park Art Studio for an hour of creative fun. Each week we will make a new project using a variety of mediums - paint! pastels! clay!
K-1st Grade - September Wednesdays
2nd-3rd Grade - October Wednesdays
4th-5th Grade - November Wednesdays
Sioux Center Youth Theatre
Join Sioux Center's Youth Theatre for its 2026 Fall Season! Youth Theatre is for students in 4th Grade through high school, and this Spring we will be performing "The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood" - a hilarious and challenging play based on the classic tale of Robin Hood and his merry men.
We will hold auditions at the first rehearsal - everyone will get a part! Rehearsals will be every Monday, starting August 31st from 4:00-5:30. (No rehearsal on Labor Day). There will be three extra rehearsals on October 29th, and Nov 3rd & 5th from 4:00-5:30. The performance will be on Friday, November 6th at 7:00.
Cast members will be responsible for having their lines memorized by the off-book date and must attend all rehearsals (2 excused absences allowed) as well as the performance.
Rehearsals will be at the Shelter House at Children's Park. Dress Rehearsals and the performance will be at Te Paske Theatre.
